Is Gradebot approved at UCI?
Gradebot is approved for a Summer 2026 pilot in the UCI School of Social Ecology, and approval for Fall 2026 is moving forward. The Gradebot team can support instructors through the applicable process.
Does Gradebot decide students' final grades?
No. Gradebot prepares preliminary, rubric-based scores and feedback. Faculty or TAs remain responsible for reviewing the work and determining every final grade.
What do students need to do?
Students continue submitting assignments and receiving final grades through Canvas. They do not need Gradebot accounts.
Can I test it without committing to a full course?
Yes. You can begin with one assignment or use Gradebot for shadow grading, with its output used only for comparison.
